In Character Information

Character name: Iris.

No, really, that's it. Her name is just Iris. ^^;

The Pokemon World works a bit like ancient Japan, in that commoners generally have no family/last names, but use the name of their birthplace instead. For example, Satoshi was born and raised in Masara Town, so he introduces himself simply as "Satoshi of Masara Town!"

Following that naming convention, you could call her Iris of the Village of Dragons, but she simply goes by Iris.

Fandom: Pokemon (Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes! Season 2: Decolora Adventures)
Timeline: Post-Farewell Isshu! A New Journey Sets Sail!!
Character's age: 10.

Powers, skills, pets and equipment:

She is very agile and quite used to living in the wilderness. She can run much faster and leap much higher than her friends, easily climbing trees with great speed, leaping from one high rock to another, and has high endurance.

She can take most physical Pokemon attacks without without suffering too much damage, unless it's extremely really powerful or almost assuredly lethal (like, she wouldn't be able to survive something like a Solar Beam at point-blank range, she's still human, but she's pretty hardy and can be bitten, tossed around, and burned a little!).

Iris is used to living off what she can forage and has a good eye for herbs and plants. She's very resourceful when it comes to which plants make for good remedies for ailments. She can also easily catch fish (or fish-like Water Type Pokemon!) with her bare hands.

She carries a pink backpack which she doesn't use for much, except for perhaps carrying her monsterballs. They're small red-white spheres which enlarge when their button is tapped. When tossed, a white beam of energy will release the Pokemon stored inside.

Empty ones can also be thrown at Pokemon to capture them, by engulfing them in a red beam of energy and sucking them inside.

Otherwise, she uses her massive hair for storage. Her Pokemon and partner Kibago often hides in her hair, preferring to accompany her wherever she goes rather to staying inside his monsterball.

While Iris can swing around on vines and has a great deal of bravery, Kibago started out as more hesitant, so Iris previously battled in his stead. His battling skills weren't very high in the beginning of their journey, as he could only manage a weak scratch and easily botched his overpowered but poorly controlled Dragon Rage attack, causing great damage to everything around it. Since then, all his training has helped him become much stronger and he can now hold his own in battle.

Iris is quite strong and can carry very heavy objects with relative ease. She is also incredibly agile, almost ninja-like, and easily evades things thrown at her.

Now, Kibago is capable of a well-controlled and a truly devastating Dragon Rage attack that forms the glowing-blue aura of a dragon's head which shoots out and causes damage to opponents. His Scratch ability is also very useful, as Iris has used it to free herself, Dent, and Professor Araragi from metal clasps that were used to bind them by the Plasma-dan. Imperial Rage causes Kibago's eyes to glow red and he will attack nearly-endlessly with his claws, but upon wearing himself out, his eyes will remain in that state for some time and he won't be aware of anything. It causes confusion to Kibago himself and leaves him vulnerable. Giga Impact allows him to launch himself at his opponent with great force, aided by extra energy that makes the impact much, much stronger.

As suggested by her title as The Girl Who Understands the Hearts of Dragons, Iris has a very strong emotional bond with dragons, with powers similar to an empath, but solely with dragons. She can feel their emotions and even witness the memories they choose to convey to her, but only if she is clear-headed and not distracted by her own preconceptions.

History: While Pokemon trainers ordinarily acquire their first Pokemon (called a starter; there are three types to choose from: Water Type, Fire Type, and Grass Type) from their respective region's leading Pokemon professor, in Iris' home of Ryuu no Machi (Village of Dragons), things are done a bit differently.

As indicated by its name, the Dragon Village specializes in raising Dragon Type Pokemon. There, it is customary for young trainers to be given a baby Dragon Type named Kibago so that they may go on a journey together.

On this journey, both Pokemon and trainer will mature and learn to understand one another.

Iris received her Kibago from the city's matriarch, an elderly woman wearing a headscarf and traditional dress (in general, the village people are very traditional both in dress and lifestyle— they live in simple houses, grow and prepare all their own food, and send letters using Bird Pokemon like Mamepato). Because the young Kibago was kept in a basket and Iris was the one he saw after the lid was lifted, he imprinted on her and likely thinks of her as his mother. Iris also tends to treat him like a child due to his young age.

Before beginning her journey, we were shown that Iris spent a period of her early childhood living in the forest, splashing around in the lake (perhaps this is how she gained her skill at catching fish with her bare hands?), where she befriended wild Pokemon and also learned to fight from them. She wore clothes and was capable of speaking, so she wasn't entirely feral. After that, she was sent to study in Souryuu City (Azure Dragon City) to become a better trainer, but escapes when she finds it too difficult to cope with all the city children. She was isolated from them because she was unused to reading books, picked her lunch from the trees, and bathed in the school fountain. No one wished to befriend her and she decided to start her journey on her own, running away from the school.

In the beginning of Best Wishes, a huge thundercloud looms over the docks and Iris watches it from the trees. She comments on how interesting it seems (not looking or sounding frightened) and calls for her Kibago to hide in her hair, so that she could swing down on a vine to get a closer look.

Later, she later learns that Satoshi (Ash), a young trainer from Masara Town in the Kanto Region, and his Pikachu were caught up in the storm. They had witnessed what might have been the Legendary Pokemon Zekrom in the eye of that storm.

They first meet when Satoshi throws a monsterball at the bushes, hitting Iris in the head after mistaking her for a Pokemon because his Zukan identified a Kibago in the bushes.

She yells at him for hitting her, while flailing angrily, and asks him if there're any Pokemon with a face as cute as hers in his Zukan, but once he apologizes, she shrugs it off quite easily, happily smiling in a carefree fashion.

On the night of their first meeting, she shares apples with Kibago and her new friends Satoshi and Pikachu, and says that she really wants to meet the Legendary Dragon Type Pokemon Zekrom someday, after Satoshi tells her about what happened in the storm.

Despite being extremely excited only seconds before, Satoshi looks up to find her fast asleep on the tree branch, cradling Kibago in her arms.

Although Satoshi and Iris tend to bicker and fight over a great deal of simple things (who is following who? Who is more childish?) and Iris often pokes fun at Satoshi's brash actions by likening him to a child, she comes to realize that he really is a fine trainer with time.

Of the events that changed her perception of Satoshi were her seeing him risk his life to save a group of stranded wild Pokemon (once he's seconds away from falling into the boiling hot water, she climbs onto the backs of a chain of Megucroc to rescue him) and care for an abandoned and starved Pokabu, before taking it in to train as his own.

Still, Iris continues to playfully mock her friend Satoshi, but now in a more-or-less friendly manner. She is the perfect foil to his tendancy to get big-headed following a victory, never allowing him to forget his shortcomings.

She is shown impressed by his victory, but when he asks her what she thinks, she says "you? The one who did three battles when you weren't even supposed to? The one who chose to have a rough time and try to look cool, wasn't that you in the first place?"

Later, Satoshi battles his first Pokemon Gym in the Isshu Region and is later joined by the Gym Leader Dent, who leaves the Gym and restraunt to his two brothers Pod and Corn, in hopes of training to become a Pokemon Sommalier.

Satoshi and Dent talk about their goals, when Iris swings upside-down from a treebranch to startle Satoshi. After he calms down and asks her what her own goal is, she just laughs and says "nothin'!", before running away.

Following Dent's advice in which he compared battling and cooking both as things that can take time to ripen, Iris has decided to take training Kibago at their own pace and not to rush things. After a long period of time, Kibago finally mastered Dragon Rage!

It is revealed that Kibago dreams of reaching his final evolutionary stage. He's also shown to be quite fond of apples, much like his trainer.

After travelling for such a long time with Dent and Satoshi, Iris slowly begins to trust and open up to them more. This is shown in how, when she's frightened by Ice Type Pokemon, instead of running off on her own like she did earlier on, she hides behind Dent for protection because she trusts him and has more confidence in him. She also trusts him to help train her Kibago gently, earlier on, whereas she worries that Satoshi will be too rough.

When they travel to her home village, she tells them stories about growing up there with her childhood friend Shobu. Iris is nervous any time Souryuu City and its gym is brought up until and even cheers when the Pokemon Center's Nurse, Joi-san, informs Satoshi that the gym is closed! But, when the time comes for them to visit Souryuu City, Iris walks her friends through the place she spent the loneliest days of her childhood, sharing her old dorm room with them, as well as the tower she used to climb (while getting in trouble with the authorities because of it) in search of the pure-scented wind of the Dragon Village, which she could only find high above the city. She tells her two friends all about how she was ostracized by the other students at the Souryuu City academy because she was too wild and unrefined, always splashing in the fountain with the Pokemon, climbing in the trees to pick apples for lunch, and having a difficult time in class.

Aside from her initially very inexperienced Kibago who she often had to rescue or fight in its stead (although, it is now capable of holding its own in a battle and has a very powerful Dragon Rage!), she also has a second Pokemon from the very start, before she even got her "starter": the aloof Doryuuzu.

This Underworld Pokemon resembles a badger and is a Steel Type. He is often curled up in the stance his species generally takes when drilling underground, but stays this way even above ground. He doesn't listen to Iris' orders and does not take kindly even to her praise and thanks, because he felt that she failed him when they lost their battle against Dragon Master Shaga long ago, but Iris believes in him and is certain that the day will come when they will fight side-by-side. Sometime later, during a battle, Doryuuzu is reminded of the way she cared for him when they were both younger (Doryuuzu being a Pokemon she befriended before she officially began her journey), and reconciled with her. He is now far more obedient, because he remembered her kindness to her in the past.

Despite his aloof nature, he shows he is not without a sense of camaraderie, choosing to help save Kibago of his own accord, even during the time when his relationship with Iris was strained.

Before returning to the Village of Dragons, Iris captures an injured Kairyu who was causing a great commotion in a city. The police intended to capture him, seeing him as a dangerous Pokemon who should never be released, but Iris insisted on taking the brunt of his attacks while trying to reason with him and even stood between the Dragon Type and the police until she subdued him. He developed a fondness for her and allowed her to capture him, despite his anger and pain, and she spared him from being put behind bars for life.

However, Kairyu remained very antagonistic, always heading straight into battle and doing as he pleases, regardless of Iris' wishes, until she protects him a second time in the Abyssal Ruins from oncoming attacks. Moved by her self-sacrifice, they began anew, this time, Kairyu fully respecting her. He is still a rather confrontational Pokemon, however, as shown with his rivalry with Satoshi's Lizardon (Charizard) immediately upon meeting him and recognizing him as a good opponent.

Even among people who live in the Village of Dragons, the Old Matriarch claims that very few people posess the ability to truly understand dragons: Iris is one of those special people and that is why she was permitted to go on a journey, while her childhood friend Shobu can only dream of living a life as free as Iris'. However, Iris is under the impression that she went against Shaga's wishes, but in truth, he allowed her to run off in order to see what she's capable of.

When Iris returns to the Village of Dragons and meets Shobu again, Shaga watches her from the shadows (... with tree branches always obscuring his face xD) as she attempts to settle down Shobu's rampaging Sazandora, who was so shocked by the changes to its body following Evolution, that it went out-of-control. Iris, with great difficulty, but unwavering determination, tried to subdue the dragon using the same non-violent methods that the Old Matriarch used when she subdued Iris' violent Kairyu. Despite the violent thrashing throwing Iris off and the danger of the situation, the Old Matriarch refused to allow anyone to interfere in Iris' attempts, seeing it as a test of Iris' will.

With the help of her once-disobedient Drilbur as well as Kibago, Iris manages to leap onto Sazandora's back a second time and holds on, even as both of its heads bite into her arms, she continues to caress its central head. She continues to embrace its neck and whispers in a soft, gentle voice that there's nothing to be scared of and calls it a "good kid" the same way Shobu did. While Iris explains the reason for its overflowing strength and its evolution, it calms and releases her wirsts... eventually, it calms down and Iris hops off.

The Old Matriarch compliments Iris on her well-raised Pokemon, but Shaga cuts in and Iris looks nervous. When Shaga steps out of the shadows, she first demands to know what he's doing here in the Dragon Village, before apologizing deeply for running away from school without a word. His response is a gruff "hm... looks like you've grown up a little, at least," but this makes Iris very happy. She blushes and smiles, happy to have gained his approval, and leaves with the intention of taking up Shaga's offer to eventually battle him at Souryuu City.

As predicted, when Iris faces Shaga once more, upon returning to Souryuu City, Doryuuzu manages to win in its match against one of Shaga's Pokemon. Although Iris loses the battle as a whole in the end, the match she is enough to fulfill that prediction and prove her growth to Shaga. The news is later broken to Iris that Shaga has been considering her for the role of the next Gym Leader of Souryuu City, but Iris has yet to make her decision on whether or not to accept the offer.

Iris' third Pokemon is the flirtatious and manipulative Emonga. Looking like a very sweet and demure flying squirrel, she is a dual Flying and Electric Type. She made her first appearance using Attract to charm male Pokemon, before making off with their food. She is a good battler, but is a bit lazy and prefers to use her charms to make others bring her food. She initially deceived Kibago so he would bring her food, but even after realizing what she was up to, he still decided to be kind to her and share his food with her. Emonga quickly took a liking to Iris and became her Pokemon without a battle.
She can be a bit manipulative and has a tendency to twist the truth to make other Pokemon feel sorry for her (and give her treats to make her feel better!), but she is good at heart, and shows this when she protects Iris and Kibago.

Emonga has a bit of a petty rivalry with Satoshi's Tsutarja as well and is prone to bickering with her.

Iris entered the Don Battle Tournament and fought some furry whose name escapes me in a battle that was largely glossed over, followed by a difficult fight with Kenyan, whose male Pokemon was trained hard to not be affected by gender-specific attacks like Attract, putting Iris in a real bind, because the Don Battles rules forbid substitution in any given battle, so she was forced to come up with new strategies for Emonga, who relied on her charms. In the end, Emonga affected her opponent with static, battered him with seemingly useless barrages of Mero-mero/Attract, so that he'd be weakened enough to succumb to Static, then used Reverse Charge and defeated him! This shows Iris to be good at coming up with strategies on the spot and that she knows not to depend solely on her Pokemon's strongest attacks.

She then advanced into the semi-finals, where she fought Luke. In her fight with Luke, she used Kibago, who was unable to fight Gobit on the same level, due to Gobit being half-Ghost Type, meaning Kibago's Normal Type Scratch attack is ineffective. Dragon Rage was not much help either. In desparation, instead of running away, Kibago's eyes glowed red and he attacked in a fierce rage, learning the move Outrage. This earned Iris her third win in the Tournament!

Kibago was very disorientated and confused after the win, but calmed down in Iris' embrace.

Finally, Iris faces off against Satoshi, pitting her Doryuuzu against his Pikachu, in the championship fight... and winning.

She happily accepts the championship prize of rare Hatomoe Feathers and when asked for a few words on her victory: she decides to dedicate her win to the old Matriarch and everyone else in the Dragon Village she came from. Feeling that she owes her win to the training she received in the Dragon Village, she informs them on camera that she will be sending the feathers to the village by way of Mamepato (a pigeon-like Pokemon) Delivery.

Over the course of Satoshi's journey through West Isshu, Iris' character development is not showcased again until Satoshi and Iris come across a pair of Dragon Type Pokemon called Monozu. They try to capture them, but it turns out they already have trainers! They're staying a daycare center run by a man called Bobby. Bobby's rather good at his job, but Dragon Types are his one weakness, so Iris offers to help him, because she wants to be a Dragon Master someday.

Satoshi, Iris, and Dent are each assigned one of the three Monozu, with Iris getting the troubled one. This Monozu has been refusing food since his trainer left him there. It seems like he thinks he's been abandoned, so he won't come out from behind the bushes. This is very troubling because Monozu use up a lot of energy and need to eat a lot to make up for it.

Iris couldn't sleep at night because he still hadn't eaten, so she sneaks out of bed and goes to wait patiently in front of the bush. She tells Monozu a story about the Old Matriarch at the Dragon Village she came from, until he gets the courage to peek out over the bush, and she tries to get him to eat.

She tells him a story from her youth about the Old Matriarch in her home village. It seems that a Crimgan had gotten lost and found its way into their village. It terrorized the people and Pokemon in the village, acting in a brutish and aggressive manner, hiding away deep inside a cave. It refused to leave the cave for many days, but the old Matriarch waited for it at the entrance of the cave the whole time. So, she tried to ease the dragon into opening its heart up to her by speaking to it, just as Iris was doing with the Monozu. And then, after several days passed, Crimgan emerged from the cave and all the old Matriarch had to do was speak to it. So, a young Iris decided that if she could do it the same way, she'd come closer to becoming a Dragon Master.

The Monozu decides to trust her and finally eats. The day when the dragons were meant to be picked up comes, but Iris and Monozu wait together until nightfall and his trainer never comes. The next day, he still doesn't come. Iris decides to stay behind and let Satoshi and Dent go on without her, because she wants to wait with the little dragon. But, they decided to stay with her and wait. The Monozu was becoming very disheartened, but Iris held him, comforted him, and told him he would surely come. In the end, the trainer returns and just before Iris could chew him out for making his Monozu wait for so long, it became apparent that the poor trainer's clothes were all ragged and torn from his getting lost in a cave for two days. Just before the trainer returned his happy Monozu to his monsterball, Monozu turned to Iris and gratefully called out to her and she smiled, although it was clear that she was fighting back tears from having become so attached to him.

Aside from showing Iris' growth as a trainer, by her actions here, Iris lives up to the title given to her in the games, "The Girl who Understands the Hearts of Dragons."

After travelling to the Decolora Islands and then Kanto, meeting the Dragon Type Gym Leader Ibuki/Clair from the Jouto Region, and becoming inspired to start another journey, she and Dent part ways with Satoshi to travel to the Jouto Region.

(She's from the end of the series, whereas I imagine the Dent/Cilan in-game is from mid-series? This could be funny.)

Personality: Iris is, despite what she might say, very much a child; she's very temperamental and her mood changes quite easily and often. She can be angry and yelling one second, content and smiling the next.

She is quick to anger, but just as quick to forgive, so long as no one has been badly hurt. However, she will not easily forgive those who harm the weak; she hates cruel trainers who abuse their Pokemon in particular, to the point that she is very quick to demand justice and punishment (rather fitting for the protege of the Spartan Mayor Shaga).

Iris is very curious about the world she lives in and all of the people and Pokemon she meets throughout her journey. She comes across as a bit simple-minded and easily pleased, but she isn't dull, not at all. She's quite clever and is often the source of snarky commentary, particularly when Satoshi acts too much like your run-of-the-mill rash and hotblooded protagonist or when Dent is being particularly sparkly and overly-dramatic. She doesn't do it to be mean, though, and though she might go beyond her limits, she's quick to make it up to her friends if it really affects them (in other words, her disparaging comments are the only thing that can put an end to Dent's dramatics, if he isn't too caught up in himself to hear her, and they can prompt him to huddle in a corner, despairing over her calling him "a pain" or "annoying").

She easily picks up on things her friends (particularly Satoshi) miss. Her wisdom is simply more of an innocent and wild, honed by her experiences living in the forest; for example, she can sense approaching storms by reading the sky and sensing the wind, much like Pokemon do. She understands a lot about life, if not very much about things like schools or trains and other city-life fixtures. For example, she is careful not to disturb wild Pokemon so they won't run away, knows which fruits and berries to eat, and how to make ointments out of wild plants and herbs. She also doesn't mind eating her food raw, unlike her friend Dent, who would rather cook and serve elegant dishes.

Despite this, she can be prideful, evidenced by her rage at being mistaken for a Pokemon and her constant teasing of Satoshi and insistence that she was leading him around, especially earlier on.

She can also be impulsive herself at times, particularly when those dear to her are threatened, and does not care what happens to her as long as she can keep her friends and Pokemon safe.

But if someone else devises a convincing plan to accomplish an end, she is smart enough to follow it, such as when Satoshi devised a plan to rescue her Kibago from a rampaging wild Pokemon.

Iris also has a habit of squealing over any Pokemon she finds cute and can't help poking and prodding at it, which often leads to her getting attacked, but this habit has been toned down as of late (she still blushes and squeals over awesome Dragon Type Pokemon, though!). She has this same casual disregard for personal space with humans, leaning over Satoshi while talking to him despite his obvious surprise at the sudden closeness. Presently, Dent is her usual target (which is just as well because he's pretty invasive of other people's personal space, particularly Satoshi's) and Iris frequently clings to Dent when she's frightened too, even if others are just as close... or, rather amusingly, even if Dent happens to be carrying something that frightens her, he's still the go-to cling-for-comfort companion.

Iris gets along with Satoshi, occasionally bickering with him, because they're similarly childish and impulsive. Iris connects with Dent due to the fact that, in spite of her childish traits, she's still more mature and level-headed than Satoshi typically is and with Dent being the most responsible and level-headed of the trio (provided none of his hobbies are brought up, of course) and because they're often watching Satoshi on the sidelines, they get along quite well... their opposing personalities and methods work in good harmony, except for one thing: Dent is a Science Sommelier and Iris is spiritual and rather superstitious. She believes in the existence ghosts and curses, while Dent scoffs at them and is quick to think up scientific explanations to explain away all seemingly paranormal phenomena.

He doesn't insult her intelligence for it, although she does get quite angry when he doesn't believe her. The incident in which this difference between them is spotlighted comes to a conclusion to was in-between: it wasn't the work of a vengeful spirit's curse per se, nor were they all coincidences easily explained away with science. They were the actions of a Ghost Type Pokemon.

Her social interactions might be strained due to her rather straightforward manner of speaking ("They're all annoying, let's just walk away."), but she is normally very friendly to people who haven't earned her ire. Oh, but if they have... she will do everything possible to ruin their day, even if it means getting both her male friends to crossdress in fancy, frilly Takarazuka costumes to gain access into a Flower Troupe's quarters and challenge them to a most humiliating revenge battle!

... yeah, just don't anger the little dragon lady and she'll spare you of everything except her occasional frequent sarcastic comments.

Iris is very much a free spirit and has a tendency to run off on her own, preferring to explore and rest on tree branches if necessary, so she might not be expected to return to the same room everyday. It takes a while before she starts to spend all her time with Satoshi and Dent, because she was previously accustomed to being alone with Kibago on her journey. She also used to be very secretive and withdrawn, if you'd believe! She's now very much an open book to Satoshi and Dent because she trusts them fully.

Iris has a pretty big appetite, able to shovel a great deal of food into her mouth in a way near identical to Satoshi. When Dent brings up this similarity, both Satoshi and Iris react in indignant anger at his suggestion that they are anything alike.

Overall, Iris is clever, strong, sarcastic, curious, loyal, vengeful if wronged, spiritual, and a very good friend despite her penchant for playful teasing.

Why do you feel this character would be appropriate in the setting? She's very much capable of fending for herself and her Pokemon, as she's gotten along very well on her own in the wilderness.

She's very resourceful and independent.

And she has been in quite a few dangerous and life-threatening situations already in her short run on the series... and knowing this series, she and her friends will get into more dangerous situations as time goes on.

Not to mention, 10 year olds are practically treated like adults in her world.

Network Post Sample: [VIDEO]

[One large bright brown eye, practically filling the screen, blinks curiously at the screen.]

Hello?

[As the girl backs away, more of her face can now be seen.

Dressed in a long-sleeved pale yellow and pink-lined dashiki, a little girl smiles.

She has brown skin and large, fluffy purple hair which spikes out from twin pigtails atop her head.]

Hey, Kibago! What do ya think this thing is? [There doesn't seem to be anyone else for her to be speaking too as she sits on the ground, but shortly after, a muffled response comes.]

Kiba, kibago!

You don't know either, huh? [She pouts, glancing over her shoulder, as a small and round pale green reptilian creature emerges from her hair.

She glances back at the screen of the Forge, reaching out curiously to pull it closer.]

It's like those video phones in the Pokemon Centers! [She giggles a bit.] But soooo much smaller. Isn't it cute, Kibago?

[Kibago drops down from her hair, flopping into her lap and reaching out to pick up the Forge.

Tiny clawed paws scratch at the screen before Iris lifts the device.

There's a sniffing sound and then a row of razor-sharp teeth bite onto the side of the screen, a tongue flicking across the camera.]

Aaah, Kibago, don't eat it! It doesn't look like food!

[The odd creature, Kibago, lets go of it.

The little girl is peering down into the screen again.]
Hmm... who are we talking to? Come to think of it, Kibago, this dream is getting even weirder!

[You can practically hear the nod.] Kiba-kibaaa!

Maybe we should go back to sleep... [She doesn't seem to like that idea very much, as her tone betrays boredom, but the next thing she says sounds quite excited.] Orrr we could go figure out where the heck we are! And where did Satoshi and Dent go anyway?!

[She jumps up to stand, wiping off dragon drool of the device in an after-thought. The little dragon, off-screen, shares her enthusiasm with happy little cries of its own name.] This place looks so weird... isn't it interesting, Kibago?

Kiba!

Let's go, Kibago!

[It seems she started running and accidentally ended the feed by pressing a button.]

Third Person Sample:

"It's so boriiiing..." Iris half-whined, pouting as she kicked a leg restlessly.

Kibago rolled out of her hair to curl up beside her on the bed, chiming in with a half-hearted "kiba, kiba-go..."

Both sighed.

"There aren't any trees to climb in this stupid place! When's this dream gonna end already?!"

In frustration, she picked up a pillow and hurled it at the wall. "I wanna go explore! I don't wanna stay cooped up in this weird place!"

Kibago, who had jumped in a start at the sudden movement, lifted its head to eye its trainer curiously with bright red eyes. "Kibago kiba...?"

Iris blinked, rage dissipating almost immediately. "That's right!" she started to smile. "Let's go see how far this city stetches! There's gotta be something more out there, right?"

Happy to see its trainer's smiling again, Kibago cheerfully agreed, nodding its head. "Kiba!"

"Maybe we can even find Satoshi and Dent out there or at least a change in scenery! Everything looks so gloomy here. C'mon, Kibago!"

She turned to smile over her shoulder, looking back at her partner perched on the bed. The little Pokemon quickly rose onto its hind legs, scrambling over to the edge of the bed where it swung its claws, struggling not too fall over. Once it caught its balance, it took a few steps back before leaping into its trainer's hair.

"Alright~ here we go!"

She opened the window and glanced down, a determined smile playing upon her lips.

A maze of pipes and tall spires jutting out into the sky are what greet her incredulous gaze, as well as people walking about on the ground below like tiny little ants. And on the far edges of the city, all that she can see (which, admittedly, isn't much) are old, seemingly abandoned buildings in varying states of disrepair.

The wind lashes at her face, but with odd scents she doesn't recognize and only one salty scent she does. Her ears can hear, along with the wind, the pipes groaning and large gears shifting.

Her smile had simmered down and she had yet to make a move, lost in the unfamiliarity.

"Kiba kiba...?"

She hadn't even noticed that Kibago had come back out until she heard its worried-sounding voice.

"Don't worry, it's nothing, really!" she reclaimed her smile. "Let's just take the door..."

She hopped down from the window, back into the room, and made her way to the door. It was all too mundane for her, but she wasn't stupid.

She had no idea how to make her way through a mess like that and she wasn't about to learn by jumping from the window of such a tall building.

She'll take risks once she's just a little bit closer to the ground or the sea.

Anything else? Not really. ^^;
